"Diversity and Inclusion must have a baseline in equity to be effective."

joye speight

With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, I bring my unique expertise, community building skills, infectious energy, and a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion approach to event planning and design.

My main pillar of event creation & consulting is

Community Impact Building

I emphasize supporting minority-owned vendors and marginalized communities, with 98% of Virtue's preferred vendors being POC. I'm here to bring that type of DEI approach to all events - no matter if that's planning the event for you, helping you book diverse vendors at your event (we have a long list of amazing people in the Triangle to pull from!), or finding the perfect venue that you and your guests will feel comfortable in.

Gorgeous Spaces, Welcoming Atmosphere

The venue for your event or wedding should be easy to work with, gorgeous to look at, and feel comfortable to you & your guests. This can be hard to find, but I'm here to help!

I have connections with some of the best venues in the Triangle, including Suite Four, The Cookery, The Rickhouse, The Graham Mill, The Durham Hotel, and Copper Sky Farm..

My team and I can manage all of the booking details for you - we just need your event details & dreams, and we can take it from there!

“I had the pleasure of hosting an event at Suite Four recently. Joye and her staff were absolutely incredible! From the initial consultation and walk-through to the day of the event, it was a warm yet professional experience. My event was not the typical wedding or birthday celebration, it was a virtual fundraiser that required a creative flair of flexibility. They delivered in every way, including using their relationships with preferred vendors, which helped us tremendously.”
